Netflix aims to acquire Warner Bros. for a whopping $82.7 billion, but WBD had initially spurned Paramount's pursuit. RedBird, a strategic partner to Paramount, has operating executives on the Paramount board, including president Jeff Shell.
So, while RedBird battles Netflix for WBD, they also partner with them for Artists Equity. It's a fascinating dynamic, showing the complex nature of business relationships.
